Reading?

Yep i now read.

please read:

Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller
Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborn
Revolution by George Barna

Yea, these are good.
Reading them one after another with the ideas of each still floating in my head made me discover things i wouldn't ordinarily discover.

I think I'm going to take over the world....

Christmas

Christmas is Crazy!

Time to explore different people!

So i talked with my good friend Megan last night. We did the usual "catch up" stuff, the "how you doin" and "how's life". because it's christmas we get to ask "How was your Christmas?". I told her mine was fine and she said hers was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. then, bc they went well, we ask why. She asked if i got everything i wanted and i told her yes, if not now than soon (my mother takes back what i dont like and gives the returened money to me to buy what i do want). I asked her the same, she said that she got a lot of stuff she didn't want. Which lead her to say that she didnt like gifts, that she had everything she needed. Why on Jesus' Birthday are we giving gifts we don't need. Shouldn't we be serving people? Shouldn't we be giving these gifts to people who actually need it? She told me it started a conversation/argument with her mom that ended in tears. She ended by telling me she got some pans that she will end up needing and a new purse that is long over due. Again, she said it was a good Christmas.

Hmmm

Then you've got my sister...who openly said these words "Mom was really skimpy on the presents this year." Wow, opposite. She was completely unhappy with Christmas. The make-up (that she didn't need, she has far to much already) wasn't the stuff she wanted, the shirts weren't cool enough, there wasn't enough. Her thirst for stuff was not quenched. She needed MORE. This is probably b/c my mother takes her on frequent shopping trips that she receives more than 2 Christmases of this years caliber. She's spoiled. I think. again, her Christmas was not good.

Hmmm

Is whether or not we got all we wanted for Christmas the scale we measure Christmas' Goodness by?

Apparently for Megan, no. Emily, yes.

Hmmm

I think there are more Emily's than Megan's. and i think that needs to change.

I think we need to think about what Christmas really means.

Hmmm

I'm not saying that Megan is perfect, but i think she has a better positioned heart than my dear sister.

and im not saying im perfect, i just noticed the difference between them and am trying to position my heart accordingly.

New Computer

YEA...it'll be different.

with this new computer, it'll be different.

i promise.

mark my words, it will be different!

....

who am i kidding, it won't change...

it doesn't go away.

...

but i promise i'll try.

mark my words, i'll try!

YEA, with this new computer, i'll try and be different.

...

it: the most disgusting thing in the world; the most degrading thing in the world; the lamest thing in the world; the most unattractive thing in the world; the most dangerous thing for me.
